With great success the Town of Burlington’s Parade has been approved with the stipulation all comply to Governor Mills Guidelines. This has been an ongoing adventure (countless, calls/ emails between many town employees & those hosting the parade) on getting answers and finding a way to get this approved.

“Where there is a will, there is a way”.

Below is a copy of the Facebook post by Blaine Batchelder:

Due to an overwhelming sense of of patriotic duty the Independence Day parade will still be held on the 4th of July in Burlington. Our Founding Fathers did not sacrifice their lives in the name of freedom for us to be told that it is unsafe to practice said freedom and honor those great men with a parade. We will however be complying with all the social distancing guidelines set forth by Governor Mills. With that being said we are asking that everybody remain in their cars if possible and to have a mask on hand if you cannot maintain social distancing. I understand that this is short notice to everyone. To keep it simple the theme of the parade is simply freedom (patriotic colors, the American flag, etc.) If you or your business would like to take part in our celebration of freedom or simply have questions, please call myself at 2077944402 or Andrew Jipson at 2077944447. We hope to see you there dressed in red white and blue. We will also be having a meeting at the town office 6pm monday night for anybody that would like to help.

Parade start time: 10:30
We are asking that anyone taking part in the parade please show up by 9:30 at the top of the hill. We will be closing down the road at 10.

Please continue to follow this event on the Town of Burlington website, or the town's Facebook page for updated information!!!
